hey guyz this is a battery info. i have thinkpad t61 14.1 with a core2duo-7300 processor, 120gb harddrive, 3gb ddr memory, fingerprint reader, integrated video card, bluetooth, webcam and i have my battery settings as ThinkVantage default and it works perfectly.

and the funny think is that i get like 4:30 hrs with just my wireless card off. and if i just disable everything like my dvdrw, bluetooth, wireless card. plus if i just reduce the processor to the lowest settings and dim the screen down. i will get at least 8hrs have seen my laptop get about 9hrs impressive right. i am loveing this thinkpad

How'd you get that? Any way to help me? I have a 14.1 screen, T7100, 2 GB, 160 HD, Nvidia graphics (!)...and I get maybe 3:30 with everything off and processor and brightness down, and only 2-2:30 with wifi on-btw I have a 7 cell battery. Does the Nvidia card use so much juice? Any way to lower its usage? Any other advice?

8 hours on the 6-cell without everything turned down? That's really hard to believe. A friend of mine has a T61 14" widescreen with about the same specs as yours (Integrated graphics and everything), and he tells me he's lucky to get 3 hours of normal use out of it or 3.5-4 hours with things turned down to conserve power on the 6 cell. Can you post pictures or a video to show some proof?

Also, how do you have a 14" T61 with WUXGA screen, as listed in your sig? As far as I know Lenovo never offered a 14" laptop with a 1900x1200 screen, especially with integrated graphics...the only T series to have such a screen is the 15.4" T61P Mobile Workstation with the FX570M graphics card...the highest you can currently get in any current T61 with integrated graphics is 1440x900...

8-9 hours is very unbelievable for a 6-cell.

Are you testing this in realtime with a timer or are you going by what the software says?

i am using this with a timer. not the software timer. well i have shut off everything. i am really not even running anything. my computer is just on and that it. my screen is dimed to the lowest that it is really hard to see it. my dvdrw was removed my media card was removed, my turbo memory was shut off and ther was nothing really connected to my computer. i have done this test twice and it has worked great. and i have a 6 cell. i get like 4- 5 hrs with just my wireless and my bluetooth shut off. and for me to get 8-9hrs i have disable everything. nothing is really working on the computer. it is just on. well it works.
