I received my t61p this morning, and wanted to check to make sure that everything was as-ordered, and dxdiag showed my video card as having 512 MB of ram. I ran msinfo32 as well, and that confirmed the 512 MB of vram. Is it possible that system ram is being shared w/ the video card, or do I actually have a 512 MB card? The nvidia site says that the max ram on a FX 570 is 256 MB. I plan to run sisoft sandra when i get home from work to do some more tests.
