Out of the choices in the poll, I voted for the X300, hands down !

Out of those choices, the X300 wins my vote. If the other X-series laptops were also on there, that would have made it a much harder choice.

x300 for me too... the leather bounded thinkpad x61 is too rare.... even though it looked good. Maybe lenovo should do a leather bounded X301 or something..

They only produce a few thousand of the leather bound x61. I believe they cost around 4000. The spec and everything are the same to the regular, the only difference is the leather covering on the x61. I know real leather are costly but a couple thousand premium is way too much. From the list of 5 thinkpad I would also chose the X300.

The leather-bound X61 looks funny... and I'd imagine there'd be some heat issues too..

I believe the cost premium on the leather "Reserve Edition" was mostly because it included a personal concierge and an insane on site warranty. I also think it only was offered with low voltage CPUs so the heat issues would be minimized.

I voted for the x300 as well, but would have preferred to vote for a tablet if it had been an option (either my x200T or the original x41T).

I am kind of saddened that the Edge is in the selection process, but I guess it is a drastic change of sorts.
