    42T6598 New Screen for T60p WS???

    Just bought a T60P WS and my screen is a 42T6598. Looked under the search and there is only one other person (who posted today) with such a screen. I beleive it does not match the Samsung or LG numbers from before. Anybody have anymore information on this screen??? Thanks.

    That number is from the order status page and you don't have your laptop's serial number yet, right? If I recall correctly, that is just the number that indicates that you have a 15.4" WS, and does not indicate the manufacturer. Once they actually put together your laptop and a screen gets put on it, then you get a serial number, which you use with their parts lookup to get the actual FRU# for the part.

    chaosrl is correct. You will need to wait until you get your serial number, and then you can lookup on Lenovo's site the FRU #, which will correctly identify which brand LCD you got. What you have right there is the part number, which is NOT the FRU#.

    Do you recieve the serial number before you get the computer? I recieved an email a few hours after I purchased it with a long list of part numbers and the names of the parts. Thats where I found the 42T6598???
