    Just ordered a Z60t with 40GB HD. I know that the Thinkvantage and the hidden partition for rescue and recovery takes quite a bit of HD space.

    Would anyone know how many GB's are actually left on a 40GB HD?

    Glentium, you there? :)

    Thanks!

    hi jagged!
    the HPA with the ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery environment in my T60 uses around 4.69GB (to be exact) with 37.26GB in the usable partition. I guess that should be about the same with the Z60t.

    I see...

    glentium, so like when you got your T60 new (with Windows, R&R, and other utilities installed), how much was actual available space in your HD ? :)

    @jagged
    I couldn't remember when I got it new. But right now, after a full factory reset, with all the latest softwares and drivers from lenovo copied to the harddrive, and ran software installer to update what's installed, I've got 22.4GB of free space. Please note also that I haven't uninstalled anything yet (e.g. Google Desktop and Symantec Client Security Suite)
