On the ThinkPad SL300, I'm assuming that the standard 4-cell doesn't protrude from the back of the notebook? What about the 6-cell, does it sit flush or does it extend beyond the back edge?

What about on an SL400 or T400, does a 6-cell fit flush or just the 4-cell?

    Thanks for any info!

higher-capacity batteries with more cells are almost always larger than their standard counterparts, so it's highly probable that the 6-cell pack will stick out the back.

I don't know about the SL300 but I know for sure that the 6 cell will stick out on the T400, contrary to the 4 cell.
