I've had my T61 for almost two weeks I think. Two weeks ago, the day I got it, I noticed a small grey dot. I thought it was a speckle of dirt, but it didn't move. Big deal, I can't even find it anymore. It's not visible at all.
A week later, I noticed a bright red dot in the middle of the screen when I was watching a movie. I only notice this on black or dark screens. When the screen is white, I can't find it, no matter how hard I try. It turns a faded shade of blue.
Just now, I noticed two adjacent stuck pixels (it's like a stuck line) near the bottom of my screen. Light blue on white, but darker on other colors. I don't see it often, but it's very frustrating knowing that it's there.
So there you have it. I love the machine, but this is ridiculous. I've tried screen fixers and tapping and stuff, but nothing worked. I'm not calling Lenovo because it's not THAT big of a deal. The only one that I notice is bright red, but that's only when working on dark backgrounds. It's espescially noticeable when I watch movies.
Just thought I'd let you know. Part of me thinks some of them just appeared, since I'm surprised I didn't see the two at the bottom until today. Hm. Maybe they'll go away soon. *crosses fingers*

i have a stuck blue one in the middle of my screen that was initially a "dead" blue one (blue was off). somehow it turned on and now it's annoying because it's blue on dark screens. ive been trying everything too to get rid of it. i really hope it goes away, but it's not worth taking a 15% restocking fee. oh well.

Dead pixels are dead and you can do nothing about them. Dead pixels are black.
Stuck pixels are not dead and can often be fixed. Stuck pixels are any other color than black. They are white, blue, green, or red. You have to be careful fixing stuck pixels. There are software programs that can sometimes fix them and there are also manual methods such as applying pressure on the stuck pixel to "unstick" it. Google "fix stuck pixels". -
I would call tech support, they will give it a new screen if its in warranty
-
But that would require sending a nearly new computer in for repair. No thank you.
-
If you have an authorized repair depot near you, you can have them order the screen in and just leave your laptop for a few hours.
-
My R51 with Flexview had about three stuck pixels that went away after about a year of use, so maybe yours will too.

I have a "moving" stuck pixel on my new T61. On dark background it's white. It changes location, sometimes also disappears, then comes back.
The point is, even if you send it for replacement, how can you be sure the new screen will not have stuck pixels again, or will not be worse? -
Here's a helpful site regarding stuck pixels:

Depending on the resolution of your screen you may need up to 16 dead/stuck pixels to qualify for a warranty replacement.
With only 4 stuck/dead pixels you simply have to live with the Lenovo Defects. -
-
I believe other manufacturers who care about customer service and making a quality product set this threshold much lower where they will consider a screen defective and warranty able.
If I remember correctly from when I bought the GF a HP last year, the # is 4.
For Lenovo's lowest resolution screen (800x600) the number is 9. -
Usually depends on the resolution AFAIK.
