    Just bought a used t60 and when I ran CPU-z it said that my ram is running at 333 mhz. I know that's not right, but what gives? Is it even possible to put a PC2700 stick in this machine?

    Please use the search button, I don't meant to be rude but this has been asked over a thousand times.

    DDR"2" = x2

    333mhz x 2 = 667mhz

    So as expected, it is running at 667mhz which is the proper speed.

    i follow. but cpuz also says it's a single channel. So it calls it DDR2, but there's only 1 DIMM, and . . . I guess this is what I get for not staying on top of the hardware game for the last couple years. Looks like I have to stay hip even when i'm not in the market for a computer!
