    32 bit or 64 bit ?

    I'm trying to download some software. It gives option for 32 bit or 64 bit windows. How do I know which one my T61 is? Thanks in advance :)

    What OS are you running? You have a 64-bit processor; but if you're running 32-bit XP it won't work. 32-bit should work either way.

    Go to "start" -> right click "My Computer" click "properties".

    Under system it will tell you what version of windows you have. If it DOES NOT say "64-bit" then you have 32-bit. Also, chances are when people don't know what they have... they have 32-bit.

    Also, Microsoft has an article to determine if you are running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.
