    Hi,

I have Lenovo 3000 N500 4BG, running XP on it.

I have installed all the drivers from Lenovo support and almost everything ok...the only problem is i still get a yellow question mark over "Audio device on High definition Audio Bus" in device manager.

What makes it even weirder is i do have sound and obviously i've downloaded the drivers. There used two be "Audio devices on High definiton Bus" lines in device menager before i installed Audio drivers, so i guess sound card is taken care of.

I've tried to reinstall drivers several time, but the situation hasn't been resolved, including modem drivers and bluetooth.

My model is N500 NS74BCD (model: 4233 4BG) which is not listed on Lenovo.com (even thou it is listed when i'm chosing the model to determine needed drivers) so i can't even be sure what hardware i have in my laptop. The specification But it's hard imagine it oculd be anything that's not in other models.

So what could this mysterious Audio device be? Under location (under properties) it says: Location 65535 (Internal High Definiton Audio Bus). Any suggestions?

Do you have a copy of the SWTools folder?

SWTools folder is located on the C:\ drive when you purchased your machine. It contains all the software and drivers on your machine, which should include you're missing driver. Burn it onto a disc and let the driver updater look on the disc for the driver.

Oh, my notbook didn't come with a pre-instaled OS, so there is/was nothing on.

Howerer i did exactly like you suggested and burned all the drivers i downloaded on a DVD, so windows could search thru them when attpeming to instal drivers for the question marked device...and it worked. It was Intel HDMI Audio.

    Thanks :)
