I have been using a Lenovo 3000 C200 laptop for a couple of weeks, and have noticed an irritating problem. It appears that, whenever a sound is played, the pointer freezes for a period of time that can last from a fraction of a second to 5 seconds; then the system comes back to life. This hesitation is very annoying, and makes working with the system difficult, if not impossible. I checked with Lenovo Tech Support, who said to download an updated driver for the Realtek audio; they have some tech notes about this problem. Unfortunately, the updated driver did not resolve the problem.

Has anyone else heard about, or seen, this problem on the 3000C200? Or does anyone have a suggestion as to whether this is a fixable problem or is an inherent problem with this model (that's what I think).

Thanks in advance for any responses and/or suggestions.
