There is times when i am browsing the i-net and it just freezes and the screen turns a white color but still see through and it is frozen for about 30 sec and it goes back to normal.. basically a long lag, could this be my new 1gb memory?? I changed it out as soon as i got the laptop so i don't know what it is causing it.

Could be the memory. Take it out and see if it happens again.

    What OS? Turbo memory?

I have the EXACT same problem. I also installed Ultimate over my Basic, but I have Turbo memory enabled. Only happens (seemingly) when using IE7.
