I tried to connect a remote display monitor for my IBM Notebook. I installed an LCD Acer TV AT2001 FOLLOWING INSTRUCTION to configure. but it can not display screen error massage is "out of range". it seems that display size is too big to fit the screen. i can drag images to the second monitor but data is different from whats being display at the primary monitor.
Can any one provide me a fix for my problem.

Can you be more explicit about your setup? What notebook are you using? Which operating system? What are the desired screen resolutions? Do you want to mirror the notebook display output on the Acer? Or do you rather want to expand the area?

Likely, you can do what you want with Presentation Director easily.

I am using an IBM Thinkpad T30,ATI Radeon 7500 Graphic Card and an ACER LCD TV/Monitor AT2001. I installed secondary monitor via control panel display. I click setting, click extend video. When i click Identity primary monitor display no. 1 and the ACER no.2. when i restarted the ACER display message "Out of Range" and end up blank screen. i BElieve the scan rate output is too large than what the monitor can take.
yes i would like a mirror image to be displayed.

    Thank you for your help

If I am correct, then the highest resolution the AT2001 supports is 800x600.

To get your monitor working, reduce the resolutions of your notebook display to 800x600 and then try again.

    Cheers,
    Izmi

I tried that it worked for a while, but when I restarted my computer, it go "out of range" and no display. If I set appearance to Microsoft XP It will display the wall paper but no Desk Top icon. Other thing that work is when I click one corner and drag it beyond the border , the display will be active but I can not save the setting.

Sometimes it works when I play around the settings, I am no expert. Do the monitor require a driver? I don't have one loaded.

    thanks again
