I am very very bad with computers, so bear with me.

I just ejected the dvd drive and inserted hdd caddy with a hard drive in it (did not use any screws).
When the caddy was inserted, the driver was successfully installed, but when I go to "computer," it's recognized as DVD RW drive and says it is powered off. Nothing happens when I power it on.

I don't think what I did is correct because the hard drive should not be recognized as a dvd drive. What do I need to do? Do I have to make changes in BIOS or something? And again, since I am very bad with computers, please tell me step by step in detail about how to successfully install the drive. And lastly, do I need four screws that came with the caddy?

    Thanks in advance

Actually, I found the solution. For future reference or someone who might run into the same problem, here's what I did:
Right click on computer, and go to manage. Click on disk management, and there will be an unallocated dirver (the new hdd). Just assign the volume and you are good to go!
