    2GB Memory upgrade for X200: 1066 or 1333 mhz?

    want to add some 2GB for my X200 P8600 that has already 2GB 1033Mhz, if I understand correctly. what would be better the 1066 or the 1333 module?

    1066. I think you could use 1333, but it'd run at 1066.

    Whatever is cheaper, RAM is RAM is RAM. More RAM > faster RAM.

    You can use either speeds but your system will clock the RAM down to 1066MHz regardless.

    If the 1333MHz is not that expensive compared to the 1066MHz (a few dollars for example) you can opt for that, as an investment going for the higher speeds version will have higher value in the long term. As an example, if you decide to sell the X200 system for an X220 you can swap out and use the existing 1333MHz DDR3 RAM instead of buying another one again.

    As far I know prices are identical and 1066Mhz is going to be surpassed in sales soon by 1333Mhz anyway so 1066Mhz might go extinction path.
