OK OK the name is there for a reason.

T61 model. Standard in every way. The power supply says input 110-240v but there is no switch. Am I then to assume that there is an automatic transformer in the power source or do I need a separate transformer to use this in the UK?

Yes, the power supply will automagically work with any voltage from 110-240V.

The only thing thing that is country-specific is the male plug hanging off the end of the AC cable that plugs into the wall receptacle. Said AC cable simply plugs into the AC adapter.

You can either source the correct UK-spec AC cable to plug into a UK-spec wall receptacle or you can use a travel adapter to allow, say, a USA-spec AC cable to plug into a UK-spec wall receptacle.

Pretty much every laptop power supply from the last decade and a half has voltage autoswitching. It would be very irresponsible not to make it so. People are expected to travel around with them without blowing them up or starting fires in their hotel room you know :)
