Well, I've had my first thinkpad (T61) for exactly 1 year today. I must say I'm still super happy with my purchase. I've had zero problems so far. I've been duel booting with Ubuntu and Vista and really enjoy having the option to choose which one I want to use.

Also I'd like to thank all of you guys on this site for all the info and help. I doubt i would of been able to clean install my machine when i first got it without help from eveyone on this site.

I think i might be a thinkpad convert for life!

    Yeah me too. lol

I really don't know how I could buy another notebook after using a ThinkPad. It's just too perfect.

I've been using mine for about nine months now and have absolutely no problems or issues whatsoever. :)

It's nice to have threads like this. Thanks. :)

Yes, it's hard to beleive that I've had mine for almost 4 months already. Seems like just yesterday I was posing in the "what laptop should I get" forum lol. I'm definitely glad I choose Thinkpad. From now on, I will never buy any other brand (and I've owned many different laptops over the years HP, Dell, and Toshiba) this is by far the best ! Long live the Thinkpad ! When my laptop turns one year old, I will make a post here too :)

Same here. I can't imagine using a laptop with only a touchpad! Trackpoint is the way to go :)

Glad to hear everything is going well. My next notebook will probably not be a ThinkPad, probably just cause I've had three in a row. It's mostly likely going to be a few years since my R60 still more than meets my needs and I too haven't had a single issue with it.

Same here, no problem with the laptop, working great. But I doubt I will ever by a ThinkPad or Lenovo in my life. and I would advice everyone not too.
My next will definitely not be a ThinkPad, because of the warranty service obligations they refused to fulfill and the customer service unable to help.

Ye, I don't know what I would do without the trackpoint....I've had my t61 since June 07 and I've been happy with most of the time. The only complaint about the computer is that the thinkvantage software made my computer unstable at first. A clean installed fixed all that, and i've been happy ever since.
