    IMO, you should go into an electronics store and look at each resolution.....which can be on a non-Lenovo PC.

    Each person has a different preference.

    Even on my WSXGA, on Firefox I have to click on CTRL++ to get larger print sometimes for easy reading. But, for movies or dual page text reading....great resolution on full spec.

    I have a 15.4" WUXGA display on my office Dell Latitude D800, and love it. I'm a resolution fanatic, so the more the better. I bought a Toshiba 15.4" in February with only WSXGA (1280x800) and couldn't stand that low of a resolution, so last month I bought a VAIO AR670 with 17" WUXGA.

    It depends on your own preferences and what you're going to use it for, but as far as I'm concerned, you can never have too much resolution.

    I work with multiple spreadsheets so I love the real estate of the WUXGA display. The small fonts and icons do bother my eyes after 3+ hrs of work though.

    WUXGA = widescreen UXGA = 1920x1200

    WUXGA+ does not exist...however WSXGA+ does. WSXGA+ = widescreen SXGA+ = 1680x1050 which is one resolution step below WUXGA.

    WUXGA is always wide, there is no WUXGA+.
    UXGA is the 4:3 version of WUXGA.
