I have a question that has been eating away at me.

For people who have the 15" T61p, are your hinges connected to the screen at only 3 points?

On mine the left (wider) hinge I can see something connecting the hinge and the screen on both sides of the hinge.

On the right (narrower) hinge the hinge is only connected to the screen on the right side of the hinge. The left side has nothing between the hinge and screen, although I can see there are holes in the hinge and screen.

The screen is stable so I don't see a problem with it and maybe that's just how all of them are, but curiosity is getting the better of me and now I must know if all T61s are like this.

I guess they are all like that then? Seemed strange to me the the hinge and screen still had holes in it as if something should go there.
