    I have a T61 from 2007, luckily with the Intel graphics and is already Middleton BIOS modded. But lately the fan started making what sounds like clunking, like a hard drive. And it's definitely the fan, so I've been searching eBay for replacement fans.

    I tried getting one which was from China before but upon trying to fit it with the heatsink, the tabs didn't line up. So, has anyone got theirs from a seller that they had no issues with, and has theirs fit properly?     I would try to buy from a US s seller who offers returns. Then you'd only be out the return shipping if it doesn't work out. You might want to post this on the ThinkPads.com forums where you'll find a much higher concentration of ThinkPad users. Someone may have a spare they can sell you.
