Does this model have overheating issues witht eh V5250 and Core 2 Duo refresh? Because I plan on getting one through my college purchase program and was inquiring.

I do not know if we can call it "overheating problem", but we have 4 ThinkPad T60p 2007 8JG (14.1", 2.33, 100GB etc etc) and 2 of these machines seem to have some kind of problem while our programmers compile code and it is a little bit "too hot" outside (which does not happen so often in Sweden! ;-) )

The other 2, have never had any issues.

I suppose that since the computers are pretty small, the ventilation is not enough for the graphics chip/memory. When we lower the graphics performance in the ATI-control panel down to medium or low, then they are stable and we have not had any problems with them since then.

When you use the laptops in battery-mode, the default setting for the graphics acceleration is low by default.

Mine overheats occasionally 2.16--graphics chip gets to hot and gives out.
Works better when fan control is turned off, but still freezes sometimes.
