For those of you who [recently] bought the 14.1" version of the T61p, how are your screens? What model (Samsung or TMD or ??) do you have? Just wondering, because I'm tempted to give it another try but I dont want to deal with another horrible TMD screen.

My SXGA+ screen is a bit dim for my tastes. Cranked up it looks decent, but can be harder to use on the lower brightness settings.

They don't reinvent the wheel. They're using the same screens.

True, I'm just wondering if more people are getting Samsung screens now or what ;) I absolutely couldn't stand my last TMD screen. Guess I'll just get a 15.4" model to avoid this mess...

15.4" come with Samsung and LG screens. I got the WSXGA+TFT Samsung and it is beautiful bright clear only thing is alight backlight bleeding on the bottom only noticeable in a dark room with the screen black.
