Is there a website that shows the difference between text size on these screens? Is it just me, or is 14WXGA smaller than 14XGA (non-wide) screens when it comes to displaying test, webpages, etc..?
How does the text sise on 14WXGA compare to 12XGA on Xseries?
Thanks.

XGA on the 12.1 inch is pretty large on the 12.1 inch, and so you have little real estate, but I think it is needed given the small form factor.
Although if mobiliity is not a huge factor I prefer the 15.4 inch T61 or T61P -- gorgeous screen and great resolution. I can lug 6 pounds around when I have to.

14" WXGA -> 107 PPI
12" XGA -> 106 PPI
14" XGA -> 91 PPI
So, the text size on 12" XGA and 14" WXGA screens would be about the same (unless you of course alter DPI settings in Windows). There's a handy PPI Calculator, which can be used to calculate PPI for any combination of diagonal size and resolution.
14 WXGA vs. 14 XGA vs. 12 in XGA
