Firstly sorry for my first post being a query and secondly sorry again if this is posted in the wrong forum (can't find appropriate section ).

I bought Lenovo B50-70 series laptop which have a Full HD display (1080P), it came with Dos pretty installed and I have now installed Windows 7 x64 in that but am unable to change the resolution to 1080P, not sure why that is. I am now looking to update the chipset drivers which I was a bit sceptical doing but am left with no other option.

Can anyone point to the reason why I am not able to select 1080P resolution? If some sort of Graphics drivers are needed for that please guide me to that although I have downloaded and installed Display drivers from Lenovo site already.

Thanks for your time and a quick help will be greatly appreciated.

I bought this from an online shopping site, not sure if I can share that link here or that would be considered as spam hence avoiding posting it but if it's allowed and needed I will paste it.

Hello, welcome to NBR. I've moved your thread to the Lenovo subforum.

From your link, it seems you have the version with AMD dedicated graphics, in which case you'll need the AMD graphics driver package. Since you're running Windows 7, that is available for download here.

An alternative would be to download and install the package direct from AMD's own website.

Sorry for posting in wrong forum and thanks for the help, i will try the link and revert back with results. Although after a bit more research it seems there are 2 versions of this model one with intel which is 1080 and other with amd which is 1368. Seems like the online seller listed the specs wrong. Cant find this model on lenovo official site for some strange reason.

Think it's 1368, unfortunately flipkart have got the description wrong. It's a pretty good deal despite it being 1368 though.
