Hello,
I placed an order at the end of October for an x200t (EMT), and the order is still "In Process"!
I called early last week, and I was told that it was taking extra time to get the EMT version ready...
It seems to me like quite a long wait, but this is my first time ordering from Lenovo.
So my question for you guys is... Is this a reasonable wait time so far for my order? and was the "extra time" for EMT just an excuse? (Hasn't it been available for a few months already?)
Thanks in advance!

People used to wait six months or longer for certain configurations of ThinkPads, but they were more of investment back then. Even though it has been available for a while, they may be ramping up stock. Did they give you an estimate of when it will ship?

A friend of mine is actually trying to get an EMT x200 Tablet right now. There seems to be a bit of a supply problem as the option is no longer showing up on the main site and all of the preconfigured units with the EMT display are out of stock at the various retailers.
Therefore, I would say that the EMT panel is certainly the reason for the extra time. -
Your order will say "In process"until it ships. I just ordered an X301 around early November, and got it almost 2 months before their estimated shipping date. What is your estimated shipping date ? If there is supplier problems, that could very will delay your order.

From reading the Lenovo forums, there are supply problems with the screens due to quality issues... I'm quite annoyed because I also ordered mine over a month ago and mine's still "In Process".

Thanks for your input, everybody!
I don't recall getting any estimated ship date, but the online catalogue had said that it "Ships within xx" days. I vaguely remember xx being something around 2 weeks... but I could be imagining that.
It's a little disconcerting if it is being delayed due to quality issues! It would have been nice to be notified of the delay, but maybe I can't expect that from a big company like Lenovo...
Would it be reasonable to complain about this delay? are they responsive to that (i.e. give an extra discount or throw in some small extra?) -

For a CTO machine, parts have to be available. There are probably shortages along the supply chain. Hang in there. U will be happy with your TP.

I ordered my T400s on November 28th and I am kind of bummed my estimated ship date is December 21st. Nearly a month and that's Christmas week. Even with my 2 day shipping it could be another week or so before I see it. I'm not sure I would have purchased it knowing the ridiculous wait time, but then I again I guess it's my fault for not noticing that deal when I ordered it.
Now my laptop is officially sold and I have no choice but to wait. I sure as heck hope this laptop is worth this hassle. -

When I ordered my TP long time ago, some were citing 3 to 5 month delays.
