    Does anyone else have issues with their fingerprint reader? Once every so often, it won't detect my fat finger when I try to login.

    Any reason for this?

    there is an acuity setting in the finger print reader management software

    what message does it give for rejecting the scan? "Too short"?

    There's no message. It doesn't even register that I'm sliding epithelial cells across the scanner.

    I finally have to give up and type in my password. I'll check on the acuity settings though.

    maybe the fingerprint database is corrupted...try re-enrolling your fingerprints

    Failing that you can always remove the palmrest and check to make sure the fp cable is connected.
