    Three questions:

Does the W510 automatically come with the touch screen?
Is the FHD worth the upgrade over the HD+?
What is the difference between the regular one and the enhanced one?

1.- No, it's (quite an expensive) upgrade over the basic screen.

2.- Depends on whether you want the extra resolution and the 95% color gamut of the FHD screen. Personally, I would go for the option, but I love high resolution screens. You might be different.

3.- Nothing, just the hardware configuration. You can configure a "regular" W510 to have the same specs as the enhanced one if you like, but the price may differ. Play around with the different starting configurations for the specific configuration you want to find the best price.

Whether or not the FHD is a worthwhile upgrade over the HD+ depends on your personal use and the price differentiation between the two options.

I had a couple other posts, but I'd like something decent to use with CS5 in addition to MS Office, etc. Does the FHD screen make the characters smaller than with the HD+? I was going to get the new Sony F12, but after speaking to one of the Sony representatives who basically told me to pound salt when I inquired about an educational discount, Sony is off the list. There is an educational discount in the US, so I figured there should be one in Canada. Nada.

These are the two versions we have to choose from in Canada. On the screen before the one I linked below, it indicates "15.6" multitouch widescreen panel" and doesn't say it is an option, so I gather it is standard?

Also, do I need to go as high end as the W510 or is there another model or two to consider?

it really depends on the size of files you are using in the CS5, a T510 maybe suffice if you got a fast hdd (i.e. SSD) and lots of ram (i.e. 2 x 4 gigs of ram, buy it aftermarket as it is cheaper).

Also, you should choose i5-520m if you are getting the T510, as this represents the most value for money and has only 10% less performance than a i7-620m under synthetic benchmark condition. Unless you run the CPU at full load all the time, then you wouldn't notice the performance difference.

You can also option the T510 with the standard FHD.

I found a couple models for you from CDW you might be interested in, BradGT. These are already in stock (i.e. they ship immediately, no need to wait for assembly), and should be significantly less expensive than ones configured from the lenovo store.

Also, for CS5, I STRONGLY recommend the FHD screen. If you plan on working away from your desk (no mouse) you may find the touch screen a worthwhile upgrade.

All models have Windows 7 Professional 64bit, FHD screen, a 9cell battery, 3 year limited warranty with battery support, 4GB of RAM (2x2GB @1066MHz), 320GB Hard Drive @7200rpm, Bluetooth 2.1, and a DVD-RW optical drive.

This model is fully decked out and is what I just ordered. Included is the touch screen, Core i7 820QM and color sensor. You can order the Gobi 2000 PCI express minicard under accessories for $174 (3G internet and GPS), the laptops already have the cellular antenna and SIM card reader installed. $2,579

This one is a bit more standard fare. It comes with the Core i7 720QM, and the Gobi 2000 module preinstalled. $2,129

This is the same as above, without the 3G and GPS support. $1,999

    Prices are Canadian. Happy shopping!
