A couple months ago, I got the laptop I wanted for less than a 1000$, around 870$ i believe. I'm too stupid to use the quote system.
Ok so a week ago I ordered what I could as the most basic for a Lenovo T500 with dedicated graphics.
It was
P8700 (used to be P8600, which I would prefer for undervolting purposes)
WSXGA+
Windows Home Premium
2 GB ram 1 stick
Webcam
250GB HDD 5400 RPM
9 Cell battery
Intel Wifi 5300
so that's the basic things I upgraded. Everything else was basic.
The total was, according to my order status: $1,005.55 before taxes
this was with cpp of course.
Now i'm taking a look at it again there's a couple things different.
It says "free" webcam upgrade, and the basic HDD is 160gb 5400 rpm with a "free" upgrade again to 250GB 5400 rpm.
Total this time:
$1,022.54 before taxes
What's up with lenovo seriously.

Probably corresponds to their parts availability and stock. But yeah, the pricing is rather erratic.

you're complaining about $15? For price fluctuations that's negligible. Prices go up and down for any number of reasons, most probably related to stock levels of various components and monthly sales target. I often wonder if prices also go up right before sales, but that's just the comspiricist in me
?!?!?! Why does lenovo fluctuate so much?
