If the USB connection/circuit board is not soldered on, and if your notebook supports standard 9.5mm hard drives and is SATA it should work.

    Notebook supports standard 9.5mm. It's a Lenovo G470.
The Samsung HDD M2 series are USB soldered on ?

I'm not sure if it is soldered on, alot of manufacturers are doing that these days as sometimes they'll have good deals on external drives and people would crack them open and install it in their notebooks.
