My grandpa asked me to help him install a PCI card in his desktop. He wants to install a Parallel port but the card he wants to buy has a PCI/PCI-X interface. His comp has one standard PCI port available. Will this PCI/PCI-X interface fit the standard PCI port or is PCI/PCI-X the name of a special interface only?

I've never even heard of PCI-X until now XD

The article suggests that you will be able to use the PCI-X card with a regular PCI bus. The PCI-X cards look pretty big (physically) though, so make sure you have enough physical space.
