    hi !

As many people, i'm waiting for Montevina to buy a notebook.

But...which constructor, which brand, who will be the first to supply it in its catalog !????? that's is the question !

I Hope it will be (in order of my preferences) :
    - DELL (in XPS)
    - Alienware (Dell too..) (in M16x ??)
    - SONY
    - ASUS
    - ...all the others
    - Apple (yes i hope Apple will be the last to propose Montevina 'cause i don't like..)

does anybody have an idea, a secret to share....You can vote to my poll too..

so, let's wait...In France, there is an expression "prendre son mal en patience" who means...i don't know how to explain it in english.sorry..

It's hard to say, in my opinion, its whoever utilizes it the quickest. Even if Intel ships it to Manufacturer 'A', they have to design, QC and make sure the notebook is up to their standards before mass shipping it out to end customers. In saying that, I would think Dell, Apple and Acer would be the quickest ones, but in limited qualities at first(and 1st gen owners' frustration perhaps? ;))

Yeah, you forgot Compal and Clevo on that list, heh. Or I suppose that would be "other". Though I'd think of them before MSI...

Quanta is going to have them first, I can guarantee it.
Quanta is a taiwanese company, which manufactures ASUS, MSI, Dell, Hp and many other laptop chassis. Quanta is the largest notebook manufacturer in the world. They will have it first, and then the largest companies, like Hp and Dell will have it first.

    well....

i don't think Apple will be the first to propose any new offers because Apple just renew (last month) its hardware config for most of its notebooks.
So, it can't sell out too many new products every month!

it might be TOSHIBA, because it the one who HAD TO renew its offer (to sell off HD-dvd notebook!!).

I agree that Apple gets some of the first. I totally disagree DeLL is second. I base this on the Santa Rosa release (first I paid attention to) and a very logical explanation. Unless they are going to shut down all Intel plants and retool an convert/transition at the same time? A high volume producer like DeLL simply has such demand that can not be met initially, same goes for HP. I know they could only put them in XPS's initially and therefor not exceed production. But if history is any kind of indicator of the future? That did not happen with Santa Rosa. I see Apple (not exactly high volume) and boutique brands getting first like Sager for example. Also if DeLL transitions first and any issues not discovered in Beta testing shows up? Nother class action lawsuit against them, thinking P4's and cracking MoBo's.

Hope you enjoy ici.

Espérons que vous ne comprends pas traduire exactement.

I think they will be one of the first. And aren't some places already taking pre order for a Sager that is a Clevo? So I guess we already know. It is Clevo. Thanks for pointing out.

That's cheating, like saying intel will have them first for their in-house proto-products. :p

Surprising eh? I don't think I've seen one in the last ten years. Until recently I thought the Packard Bell name was totally dead, but then I found out that it's still alive and well overseas.

    Sager/Clevo
    The " CX15"
of this Company seems to be a Sager, since every other Gaming Notebook they sell seems to be a renamed Sager/Clevo, this could actually be a renamed M860TU (hope i remembered the name right)

I think Sager will be the first. If not, then Clevo. Sager was the first to have Core 2 Extreme and 8800M in thier notebooks, so i think it will be the same with Centrino 2/Montevina.

Clevo barebones are up for pre-order,but that doesn`t mean the first Montevina laptop will be shipped from them.
Although, I`m willing to bet Clevo will beat them all :)

Why is Clevo not on the list. The M860 has been being prepped and basically marketed to be one of the few first if not THE first montevina laptop on the market.
