There pretty much all the same. All come from reputable brands, and the 533 MHz RAM doesn't perform any slower than 667 MHz RAM. This is because the latency on the 667 MHz RAm is longer, so the benfit of it having a faster speed is washed out.

    Thanks for the replies.

I am upgrading my Sony vaio FS740 which currently has 2x256mb on both slots which is not good enough for me

I think I'm going with Corsair,, but the patriot/ocz's rebates is so tempting

if it was me I'd be tempted to take the rebate! I can't see OCZ or Patriot being any worse than the Corsair and you save $10 per chip!

patriot since prices all the same and its a 667 mhz. also a mail in rebate at least a chance to save :)

they are all good brands and my concern is just if it will work on the laptop and I think all 3 would.

The 667MHz ram won't perform any faster due to higher latency.

I would get the cheapest one and as said by jess, 667MHz does not mean faster. It is hampered by high CAS latency.

Notebook RAM is generally the same all around regardless of the manufacturer, but as long as you get a decent brand name with a good warranty attached to the memory, then go with whatever is cheapest.
