i ordering a 15.4' wsxga+ (1680x1050) on a sager np2090...mainly cause it comes with a 9 cell battery standard on the powerpro configuration.

im worried that when i get it, the text will be to small. unlike gaming, blowing up the text to a bigger size so you can read text better in word processing and firefox should be no problem right? no ill effects to that?

Yes, changing the DPI in vista to make text bigger is a good solution. Personally I don't see many "ill effects" in gaming either, but some do. However for basic productivity tasks any slight blurriness casued by raising the DPI shouldn't be a problem.

No biggie. All you have to do is raise your DPI settings and all that will do is increase your font sizes

You could also set the resolution to 1280x800. This should be big enough.

Yeah, but in general raising the DPI has a better effect than lowering resolution on LCD panels, especially if the main concern is text and the like.
