Because the only games I really want it to run is Counter Strike 1.6,Counter Strike Condition Zero, but will it be able to run them at 100fps constant?Because those are the only games I really play and I was wondering if it could those games at 100fps constant. And is the chpset any better than the ATI Radeon® Xpress 1150 256MB HyperMemory™ (integrated)?

Those games will run fine. I dunno about 100 fps, but at least they should be smooth. Unless you're trying to run at like 1920x1200, then I'd expect things to run quite slow.

Yes, CS 1.6 should be able to run at 100fps if you scale down the settings.

If you want to game, I wouldn't count on the X3100. Although it is a big step forward from the GMA950, it would better to get a dedicated graphic card to ensure high frame rates.

Since you only play CS 1.6 which is a fairly old game, maybe a 8400GS would be enough already?

The 8600GT can probably play most games that are currently released right now. As for the laptop that you just listed, if you want to game on it, you'll definitely need more RAM. Vista needs at least 1 gig to be usable. If you play games, then 2 gig would be best. Also, since games take a lot of HD space, a bigger HD would also be better. With a 800$ budget, it's going to be hard to make a gaming laptop :(

Currently you can make a decent Dell Vostro 1500 for $800, choose the smart value package and upgrade the RAM.

512MB is not enough memory to do anything in Vista, let alone game. Get at least 1GB or you'll be kicking yourself.

The GMA 950 will run C&C tib on low graphics. I have tested it on my friends toshiba. There is no eye candy and it can lagg in massive intense battles. To determine the right card you have to think about what kind of games you will be playing. CS 1.6 is a cpu intensive game, however games like the new C&C are graphic card intensive. The x1300 will most likely run C&C on a medium setting with low AA. If you think that your going to be playing 2008 and on games then absolutely invest in the 8600 GT; furthermore it will give you some nice eye candy. The x1300 will play the games but will not give you the eye candy.

You definatley need a lot more than 512mb RAM.... 1GB is the bare minimum for Vista, and even then 2GB is recommended. Although the X3100 has been a pretty impressive card, as far as integrated ones go, it's still not meant to play modern games, and expecting 100 fps from it is a stretch. I'd save the money for a better card if I were you, and definatley get AT LEAST 1GB RAM, or you're going to have your pc running at like 2 fps.
