one of my raid array (western digital) drives failed and was sent a replacement. this replacement has the blue label on it and it made a loud clicking sound so i requested another replacement. the replacement that arrived also makes this clicking sound. what the hell is going on with western digital? i don't know what to do now.

did you test the drive in another computer?
Maybe it's not the drive that's the problem.

Is that like a really really loud click which happens intermittently.

I reckon something like that happens on mine about every few hours. Horrrid sound. I'm sure ive heard it on a few hard drives before so ive just put up with it.

i don't think that program will work as as it can only identify drives on IDE, my drives are on a raid setting.
