    hi guys
    I need help please
    i just bought a new laptop and when i try to use it with messenger it says that the webcam is used by another program
    is is problem with windows or with the webcam itself
    please help

    Just close the software the webcam came with. Look on the bottom right of yoru taskbar

    actually there is nothing opened in the taskbar
    is it a problem with vista
    help us guys i need ur help

    ctrl+alt+del, then close all applications and as many services as possible, then see if it works.if this fails go to device manager, and uninstall the driver for the webcam, if the laptop came with a driver cd (which it shud) insert it and install the driver manually from the cd.
