currently i have a T5250 1.5 ghz and wanna upgrade to either:

    2.2GHZ CORE 2 DUO T7500 SOCKET-479

    or

    Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz 6MB L2 Cache Socket P 35W Dual-Core Processor

will it be compatiable with my Intel (Rhinelander) G965 Motherboard?

    thanks in advance

The T9300 is a better processor than the T7500. Spec wise, the T9300 is.3ghz faster, and has 2MB more cache. While the difference may seem big, it really isn't. Basic tasks such as internet browsing, word processing, video watching, etc. . . will not a see a difference from either processor.

If you do heavy video encoding work, then the T9300 will be a winner.

What tasks will you be performing with your notebook?
