That GPU is not powerful enough to run high-end games at all. In fact, it's one of the worst out there; it isn't upgradeable either.

You are best off buying a new laptop. Even if you did upgrade your TL-58 to a TL-68 the gaming performance will be terrible. To reiterate what Bog mentioned, the 7150 is actually worse than the Intel integrated X4500HMD.

You should get a new laptop if you are planning on gaming.
I recommend to get at least a 8600mGT/9500mGT or the Ati 3650

If you don't need any sort of mobility, it may be wiser to just buy a desktop; the price/performance ratio would be higher too.

    Nice, a series 60,
I am working on a Series 53 two stroke for a Jeep buildup

Do you drive a conventional or a sleeper?
You shouldnt be driving and using a laptop at the same time. But if you just want a powerful laptop to do gaming, you may want to look at the Gateway FX series, or the XPS from Dell, or maybe some of the higher end Dv series from HP

If you have a sleeper that big, you can easily store the system in the back. Just make sure you shut the system off when you drive, or put it into standby. Even if you drive a fancy Pete or Kenworth with the air ride you will still get a ton of vibrations, which will kill the harddrive, unless you have an SSD.

Sorry, I cannot understand what you are asking?

You can set custom power profiles in XP or Vista through the control panel.
Or you can do things a more advanced way, through programs like Notebook Hardware Control or CPU Rightmark

ok ihave to use an inverter to plug my laptop in it draws off 4 oversised batteris
i only have to run my truk for 30min every 5 hours but does a desk top use more energy aux power units r like small genarators with
house outlets burns about 2 gallons of fuel every 10 hours my truk idleing burns a gallon an hour its all about cost

oh, I see what you are saying.

You need a power inverter in order to run your laptop off the power of your truck.
    Something like this will work:
    http://www.buyacehardware.com/black--decker-power-inverter-8061947.html
That is actually the same power inverter I bought. I bought mine from Northern Tool

A laptop uses much less power than a desktop does, so you will not drain your batteries much at all.

You should have two batteries in your truck anyways, each should be about 600CCA or more. You could probably run your laptop for a whole day on the batteries of your truck and still have enough power to start your Detroit

The one thing to look for when buying a power inverter is the voltage.
Do you have 24V electronics or 12V in your truck. I am referring to the cigarette lighter, where the system would be powered from

12 volt but to run desk top probably have 2 be 2500 watt inverter hooks directly to batteries i have 800 watt now it works well
sine wave i heard was a big deal but this cobra inverter works great

You would need about a 1000 watt continuous inverter to safely run a mid-high end desktop. That would eat your batteries fast.
Most laptops use a maximum of around 90 watts, so you can get away with a 200 watt inverter or so for a notebook

I was hoping yours was 12V, cause finding a 24V to 120V inverter would be much harder to find

A gaming laptop like the M17 or the M17X will need a 400 watt inverter.
Those laptops have a 180 watt power brick if I remember correctly.

The M17 is better than the M17X in terms of performance.

The M17 is based off of the OCZ whitebook, and can be outfitted with a quad core mobile processor and two ATi graphics cards in crossfireX

Alienware makes good laptops, but they are expensive. Cheaper solutions are the Clevo M570ETU or the Dell XPS 1730, Gateway 7811FX, or the Clevo D901C
