This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Anybody know anything about this Intel chip T6670? What sort of ram it can use?

    RAM type is independent of CPU type. RAM is based on 1) chipset and 2) manufacturer (chipset can support say DDR2 and DDR3 but the motherboard manufactuter can choose to only support DDR2 for example).

    Your system can only take DDR2, up to DDR2-800. It doesn't matter if the same system had a different processor but as I mentioned before, your system chipset is GM45 and the manufacturer has chosen to use DDR2 SO-DIMMs.
