hello everyone, honestly i dont know whether this thread supposed to be here or not, but i really need your help. it has been about 2 weeks that my laptop lcd has a bubble under it. i dont whst it id exactly, it is like liquid with a clear appearance. at first, it was only three bubble. now, i see that the bubble is increasing into 4. i know it is not too disturbing. but i am afraid that there will be a big problem in the future.

does anyone know what is it exactly? and what i am supposed to do?

thankyou in advance. really appreciate ur help :)

Sounds to me like your LCD is on its way out, something is breaking up, one layer delaminating or has become damaged by something.

If your display has been in contact with organic solvents, alcohol, acetone or something even worse, the damage could be due to drops of that.

thankyou for replying. i wam sure that nothing you mentioned above has ever been in contact with my laptop.
i was confused that he liquid is clear knowing thr fact if there is leak in my lcd, the color should be black.

what am i supposed to do? should i have it repaired?

LCD displays have multiple layers, behind and in front of the glass layer that contains the actual crystals/pixels. If for some reason something got between some of those layers, it could explain your problem.

Also, yeah, take pictures, that could help in identifying the issue.

What do you think? Should i get a replacement? Btw, the cost of the replacement is too expensive, almost half of the price of my laptop :(. But i should admit, it is a touchscreen after all.

That is the weirdest thing ... they do stand out, right? Like tiny bumps? Perfect circles, almost like something drawn. It's there in bios as well? And is the touchscreen still responsive in those areas?

If it is hardware then the touchscreen isn't flush with the actual lcd anymore. It's not the polariser, leds or backlight; pixels and their colour do shine through. Nothing to be overly concerned about; lcd itself is fine and water can't get through from the front. Unlike smartphones and most tablets, the touchscreen isn't glued on top of the lcd. So if there was a small gap between the two, air might've gotten in and the water vapour condensed when ambient temperature dropped. As long as the gap is there, more air can enter and more water can condensate.

If you still have warranty; rma. Otherwise; remove front bezel (the plastic cover) and gently push the bubbles upwards, squeezing them out. Keep cotton towel or the like near the edge to soak up the water.

yep, that is right. for the touchscreen, yep it is still working perfectly. i believe it is under the lcd, because when i put pressure to the bubble, the bubble changes form. i am trying to move it up and it is really hard.

but thanks anyway for your help. it really help me
