The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. It is probably fine. You could run a memory test when you got it to make sure it was good. If it is not good you have 15 days to send it back.

I've never had any trouble with any product from Newegg.com...

Open box usually just means that someone changed their mind. I have purchased lots of open box computer parts/accessories, and typically there is nothing wrong with them - you just get a good deal!

I'm thinking maybe I should pick up a couple of meg at that price! :)

Get the Transcend for a couple of bucks more. Plenty of good reviews. I use it.
