    screen freezes help!

    Entire screen suddenly shows vertical multi color stripes several colors main ones red, blue maybe gray some blending maybe 1/3 to ΒΌ inch before repeat not DOS colors almost photo quality. Can not get any response have to press power button to restart which restarts fine. In 7 months only happened 4 times never together, I do monitor heat and do not think that is the issue. I have no clue does anyone have an Idea? Sorry if not right forum but don't know where to put it.
