Hello, the lcd in my x301a was damaged, I need to replace it with a new one.
Do you think I could replace it with the one on the right of this comparison?
The one on the left is the one originally mounted on the laptop.

I posted a similar question earlier today, I am in the same conundrum as you. My Dell shipped with a 768 LVDS 1 channel display, I want a 900 LVDS 2 channel. By googling for the schematics I figured my model supports the 2 channel version of LVDS, but I can't find one user that has successfully upgraded to a higher resolution 2 channel panel. Chances are my laptop was not shipped with the 2 channel LVDS cable, and since my model does not have a version with a higher resolution display, I'm out of luck.
So what I suggest you is to try to find out if your model has shipped any other versions with a higher resolution display and try to find the part number for the LVDS cable and see if it matches yours. If it doesn't you could try buying the cable. If it does then it should be a simple matter of swapping the displays.

I changed the panel on a netbook from a 1024x600 to a 1366x768. Besides making sure the cable type is correct, you also need to confirm the actual placement of the LVDS connector on the panel. If the connector on your old panel is on the left side, and the new panel has a connector on the right side of the panel, you will have trouble or simply be unable to plug in the LVDS cable.
