The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    do i need to download or buy a program to see the temp. of my laptop? or is it already installed i have the asus g1

    I don't know if Asus bundles a temperature monitoring program with their notebooks, but NHC can do that and more.

    EDIT: Oops, didn't realize it was not compatible with Vista >_<. Sorry.

    everest home edition works as well...fyi, you will get different temps with every program.

    i don't know....when i was running a stress test on my computer, everest didn't detect any change in heat in the cpu, while rmclock seemed to measure a fairly consistent rise in temps.

    do you need to buy an extra add on to read the temp in your laptop or is the program alone capable?
