I just purchased this U52 laptop and want to connect my logitech trackball but I cannot get the connection into any of the ports. It seems thatthey are blocked and I am afraid to force it. I can see pieces of black plastic but they do not seem loose like they should be removed. I've spent 2 hours going through the manual but cannot find anything that suggests that they are different than any other pc brands port.

I'm sure this will sound really stupid, but have you made sure that you're not trying to insert the USB plug upside down?

I'm sure there are many new people who would not realize that it needs to be put in the right way so, no, it's not a stupid comment. I wish that were the problem though. Thanks anyway!

Can you upload a picture of the side of the notebook? Maybe there is a manufacturing problem.
