    Hi,

I have a fujitsu s7020 laptop. It does not have any ps2 slots. Recently, I found a ps2 to usb adapter laying around. So I decided that I would connect my ps2 optical mouse to the laptop. The mouse powered up and then the new hardware notice came up on XP. As xp was detecting the mouse it said unknown device. I restarted my computer. Same thing. I went to device manager and noticed under the UsB heading it had a unknown device. I figured I needed a driver...which i looked all over the internet for and couldn't find because my mouse gives me no indication what make it is. Is there anything else I can do to get my optical mouse running. Any suggests would be appreciated.

perhaps try going to device manager (right click my computer and click hardware) and uninstalling the mouse with it unplugged then plug it back in and see what happens.

You mean the built in mouse drivers for the laptop?
