    i ran memtest86+ and it freezes during the first pass! there is still a blicking cursor on the screen but the text halts at the same spot for over 20 min... is this normal? can anyone help?

    It is not normal. I run this before more than 30min ~ 45min without freezes. Do you try to use another memory test?? or use the same CD or disk to another machine to test??
