    Sandisk U100 up to 256GB
    Mushkin Atlas
Kingfast makes one not sure of model number.

You have to read the specs on all these new msata III drives. Some only toggle into sata III when in a 2.5" enclosure, so if you're plugging into PCI slot, you might only get sata II speeds.

There's still no retail release of that drive though right?

Still not available and no release date. And expect it to be real expensive when it releases.

Where as the M4 is touted to perhaps be cheaper than its 2.5" counterpart.

We will have 2 different options one Sandforce 2281 with Toggle DDR2 flash (2-3weeks out) and one with Phison's new SATA III controller with reg 24nm Toshiba flash (4-6weeks out) Pricing will be very good. The 1st solution will be in line with SATA II mSATA without Toggle flash 2nd solution pricing is going to blow your mind at around $1 a gb. (from what I am seeing from Phison preliminary #'s they are looking really good for a budget SSD).

Should be some seriously good stuff.

Id love to have two of those C400 they seem to be king right now in testing. Wonder what the GB/$ ratio will be for those.

Thing is the MSI GT70 uses two mSata drives in Raid0 and with that really it is overkill to get/need faster ssds. Id maybe even just unraid them incase raid causes problems with general functions like trim.

But that's the problem though. The GT70's mSATA drives are on a specific RAID controller daughterboard. I'm not sure they can stand alone or be separated.

Does SATA 3 really matter for mSATA? Unless you are copying files all the time, SATA 2 and 3 is almost a non-issue as you still get .1ms latency.

Agreed 100% but people are not as well informed as us and they think SATA 3 has to be better and worth more no matter the form factor.
