Here is a link to the keyboard in your laptop:

I used the serial/model number from excel computer, to find the only other place which sells your keyboard: (Luckily they have it for only $50)

You will have to remove the old keyboard in order to put a new one in.
There is a ribbon cable which connects the keyboard to the motherboard via a clip.
Simply rotate the piece of plastic over the ribbon cable up, with your fingernail, and then slide the old keyboard out.
Then put the cable from the new ribbon cable into the socket, and then once its all of the way in, rotate the plastic clip back down, locking the ribbon cable into the socket.

If your laptop is still under warranty, I would contact HP for replacement

    Good luck,

Call up HP, they might ask you to try re-seat the keyboard and cable.

If that doesnt work they will probably just send you a new keyboard which isnt that hard to install
