    laptop VS desktop processors?

    i mean if they have the same clock speed eg. 2.16GHZ (7400 vs 6400)
    dose those processor's have the same power or is the desktop faster

    well, the desktop version has an fsb of 1066mhz compared to the 667mhz mobile variety, so the desktop will preform better. Plus you get all the cooling advantages on the desktop processor you get more freedom to tweak and OC.

    Probably not. The E6400 has a more advanced core, because it doesn't have to implement power saving features the T7400 has, and also it has a larger FSB of 1066, as JacktheCrow has mentioned. Having said that, the T7400 does have more L2 cache which will help it to a certain degree in some applications, but it can be offset by a faster clockspeed.

    In most cases, the desktop processor of comparable clock speed to the laptop will have the best performance. As mentioned above, the E6400 will outperform the T7400.

    I use Desktop assembly ,but i dont know why i prefer work with my T60....
    I feel Works with T60 very comfortable....
